Victoria rules the Seattle underground with a scalpel and a silenced pistol. As the architect of the Mercy Syndicate, she transformed her own brutal history into an empire of female assassins who deliver lethal retribution to the city's worst predators.

Her latest masterpiece lies bleeding out on a plastic-wrapped floor—a high-profile monster who will never harm another woman or child. But before her cleanup crew arrives, a shadow detaches from the alleyway. Albert has been watching her. He knows her routines, her physical scars, and the cold void she uses to shield her mind.

Instead of killing the voyeur, Victoria drags him into the subterranean labyrinth beneath the city streets and locks him in one of her soundproofed cells.

She expects him to beg. She expects fear.

What she finds is a man entirely consumed by a twisted devotion.

Albert didn't stumble into her crime scene by accident; he orchestrated his own capture just to finally breathe her air. Behind the reinforced glass, the lines between warden and prisoner begin to bleed.

Albert weaponizes his submission, dismantling Victoria's icy defenses with an obsessive adoration that terrifies her more than any rival cartel.

As external threats from a corrupt police task force close in on the syndicate, Victoria must decide if the monster in her cage is her greatest liability, or the only man ruthless enough to stand by her side.
