The Blight kills slowly. My secret would kill me by morning.
One mistake was all it took to put me in chains and ship me to Blightwood Academy—a gothic reformatory on the edge of the dead moors. The guards diagnosed me with the Blight, a terminal magical infection.

But I’m not dying from the Blight.

I’m a Siphon—an extinct, despised creature that devours magic. In this school, being corrupted gets you beaten. Being what I am?

That gets you executed.

So I stay invisible. I keep my head down and do what I'm told.

Until an assassin’s blood-hex detonates, binding my life to the academy’s three most lethal predators: Corvus, Kaelen, and Thorne. The princes of Blightwood.
