Sabrina DeLuca has always been a little too much.

Too curious. Too emotional. Too obsessive about the things she loves. At twenty-two, she’s gotten pretty good at figuring out which pieces of herself fit into which rooms—and which ones are better left outside.

Moving to Los Angeles was supposed to change that.

Getting her first tattoo wasn’t part of the plan.

Neither was Kang Jiwoo.

At twenty-four, Jiwoo is everything Sabrina isn’t: quiet where Sabrina rambles, guarded where Sabrina feels everything, and seemingly incapable of being embarrassed. With tattooed hands, a black motorcycle, and a smile Sabrina quickly discovers is extremely dangerous, Jiwoo should be exactly the kind of woman she knows better than to get attached to.

There’s just one problem.

Jiwoo wants her too.

What begins as undeniable attraction quickly becomes late-night rides through Los Angeles, clothes left at each other’s apartments, doodles on Sabrina’s skin, and the terrifying realization that somewhere between wanting Jiwoo and having her, Sabrina stopped pretending this was casual.

But being desired is easy.

Being known is something else entirely.

Because Sabrina has spent years learning how to make herself easier to love, and Jiwoo has spent just as long making sure she never needs anyone enough to get hurt.
