There is somewhere that has a single room, many rooms, and some days no rooms at all. The floor is carpeted or tiled, but always cold, as if it has never been walked upon before. The ceiling is high and low and somewhere in between all at once. The wallpaper is beige, the kind that is forgettable up until it isn’t and the wallpaper is blue, a soft, pale blue that might have meant to be calming.

You still have a choice. Just like the visitors you’ll encounter in the stories to come. And just like them, you have your own story to tell, don’t you?

There Are No Lies Inside is a collection of interconnected psychological and supernatural horror — fifteen visitors, one building, one question none of them can outrun.

Arabella has spent her life preparing to become a full witch. She’s studied the spells, practiced the rituals, and read everything she could get her hands on. Finally, on the evening of her eighteenth birthday, her first Witching Hour arrives and she’s ready to summon her familiar and take her place in her family’s magical legacy.

But something goes wrong.

As magic begins to fade, Arabella is determined to find the cause and fix it herself, proving she’s as good a witch as any of them. Unfortunately, her parents have decided that the best use of her time is babysitting Espen while his parents hunt down rare ingredients.

Espen doesn’t want to be a witch hunter. He’d rather spend his time in his studio, painting and sketching. Arabella doesn’t see it as the opportunity their parents claim it is. And neither of them has any interest in making the arrangement work.
