**My Bio & Why I Keep Coming Back**

I’m Cynthia Michaels, an author, storyteller, creator, and the person behind a growing universe of books, characters, music, films, and adventures.

I’ve been writing and self-publishing since 2010, but somewhere along the way, my stories became much bigger than books. From the *Renegade* and *Starling* worlds to Whiskerville, Skunky Luke and Friends, Midnight Scent, and the many characters who have wandered into my imagination, I’ve built worlds where people can laugh, cry, escape for a while, and hopefully find a little piece of themselves.

I create because storytelling has always been my way of reaching people.

And honestly, I keep coming back to this page for the same reason.

Even when the numbers are frustrating. Even when a post gets barely any attention. Even when I wonder whether anyone is actually seeing what I’m creating, there is always something that pulls me back.

Because somewhere out there, there may be one person who needed that story.

One person who laughed at Skunky Luke.

One person who connected with a character.

One person who heard a song at exactly the right moment.

One person who picked up one of my books and found a doorway into another world.

That matters more to me than a number on a screen.

I don't create because everything is easy. I create because I still have stories left to tell.

And apparently, my characters aren't particularly interested in letting me retire either. 😂🐾

So I keep coming back.

I keep writing.

I keep building.

I keep creating.

Because as long as there is one person willing to step into these worlds with me, the story isn't finished yet. ❤️📚✨
