About the author
I write the stories that won't leave me alone. Usually that means some combination of love, folklore, magic, monsters, complicated characters, and worlds I want to disappear into for a while. I bounce between fantasy, paranormal romance, folklore, contemporary romance, and whatever else my characters decide to become. They're what keep pulling me back to the page—sometimes they whisper, sometimes they go completely silent, and sometimes they kick down the door demanding an entire book.

Things to know
- I once created an entire paranormal Pride & Prejudice retelling because someone suggested Mr. Darcy would make a good vampire. Wickham is a dragon now. Things got out of hand.

Ironfang
Briar Blackwood wasn't supposed to survive.
After the slaughter of her pack, she's sent to a war academy built to train the next generation of fighters against the Hollowed—the creatures that have kept their world locked in a brutal war for generations.
Briar has spent her life surviving on instinct, violence, and a healthy disregard for authority. The academy expects discipline. Briar has other ideas.
Then there's Riven Ashcroft.
Known as Machine One, Riven is one of the genetically engineered weapons created to fight the Hollowed: powerful, dangerous, and far too interested in the new girl who doesn't behave the way anyone expects her to.
But something about Briar doesn't add up.
As training turns deadly and buried secrets begin clawing their way to the surface, Briar discovers the war she's been taught to fight may have been built on lies—and the truth about what happened to her pack is tangled with the very experiments that created Riven.
Everyone at the academy is being trained to become a weapon.
Briar is beginning to wonder if she already is one.

Hayfield Hearts
Around Mercer Hollow, they say if a man dries his hands on a maiden's apron, he'll marry her. Boone Carter doesn't believe a word of it.
The rest of the town already has the wedding planned.
Boone has spent the last nine years building a quiet life in Mercer Hollow, where hard work, good neighbors, and old mountain traditions are simply part of everyday life. When Henrietta Mae "Etta Mae" returns to the mountains she left behind, Boone expects an awkward reunion.
He doesn't expect one innocent mistake to make the whole town believe fate has finally stepped in.
As whispers spread from front porches to church pews and every well-meaning neighbor seems determined to help destiny along, Boone and Etta find themselves thrown together by a tradition neither of them saw coming. But in a town where everyone has an opinion—and every old saying carries a story—letting go of the past may prove harder than believing in it.
Inspired by Appalachian folklore and timeless mountain sayings, Hayfield Hearts is a heartwarming small-town romance filled with gentle humor, unforgettable characters, second chances, and the enduring charm of life in the mountains.
Welcome to Mercer Hollow... where every old saying has a story to tell.
